Everyone: “What about those 115 charges? City are cheats!”

Also everyone: “Haha wouldn’t it be great if City won the league?!”

Gutsy old win when not playing very well. Mainoo was brilliant, especially defensively. Heaven totemic. Huge for Champions League qualification hopes. #mufc

Realised I've been to the following places with The Guardian this season:

Stoke, Burnley, Stockport, Wythenshawe, Rochdale, Crewe, Macclesfield, Port Vale and Blackburn.

Would officially like to place my thanks to @sachinnakrani.bsky.social on record for sending me to such glamorous places. 😉

As I've written in the blog, Coventry look a nervous team at the moment, lacking in flow, sensing the finish line is in sight, and hoping to collapse over it. 0-0 at half-time – a draw might just benefit both teams. A Blackburn goal might make things tense for Lamps' boys.

Performance with 10 men was much, much better. If that same intensity was shown with 11, that’s a straightforward win. Frustrating opportunity missed. #mufc

Chuffed for Rory again, but this year feels like THE missed Justin Rose opportunity. Would’ve been nice to see him do it. #themasters

It’s small wonder the Guardian’s Football Weekly presenter Max Rushden is a bag of nerves … Tottenham Hotspur: While he has already been interviewed by the club media team, Roberto De Zerbi’s maiden press conference as Spurs head coach is likely to be today’s hottest ticket in town. The Italian is scheduled to speak to the media at 1.30pm (GMT), ahead of his side’s match against Sunderland on Sunday afternoon. If West Ham beat the Premier League’s bottom side, Wolves, at the London Stadium tonight, Spurs will be in the relegation zone when their game kicks off at the Stadium of Light. Continue reading...
