Each year in PA, we have to apply again to receive a mail ballot for the current year. We get text and email confirmation of each step, and can track the app once submitted. The one negative is that Repubs won't allow received ballots to be staged for tabulation prior to election day....slow counts.

I usually get my ballot about 3 weeks before election day....gives me plenty of time to fill it out and then either use the drop box option or take it to my local post office. Both ways work fine. Voters need to be aware of timing needs and then act accordingly. No reason to wait for the last day.

In PA, mail ballots must be received by 8pm on election date, so postmark does not come into play. Our official drop box is 2 minutes away inside the Bensalem library, monitored by video and election supervision. This process already works well, and Trump lies when he claims it is rife with fraud.
