Any SFFH authors releasing a book in the 2nd half of 2026?
Was not aware When They Burned the Butterfly was part of a series, but happy to see it does and I strongly recommend checking it out!
Off the top of my head, Juliet Marillier, Eugen Bacon, Tasha Suri, Premee Mohamed, Adrian Tchaikovsky, Edward Ashton, Stephen King, Alexis Henderson, Silvia Moreno-Garcia, George R.R. Martin, Tananarive Due, and, more recently, James Logan and Wen-yi Lee!

@queensbookasylum.bsky.social You might like this one?
It's really only the release date standing between me and reading that book!!
Easy purchase
Had a bit of an hard time with Feast Your Eyes too as I'd like to try out hard mode for it, think that'd be pretty fun! But first ones that come to mind are Essa Hansen's Casthen Gain and Ryan Rose's Seven Recipes for Revolution (sister told me this last one actually has recipes)
Advance Review Copies of LONG ISLAND MEMORIAL are officially ready!
If you are a reviewer/blogger/booktok/booktube/bookstagrammer* and want a copy (ebook only) please don't hesitate to shout at me.
*Sorry, but having a Goodreads account doesn't cut it.
Exciting news from a great author and for a book I really enjoyed reading! The art looks gorgeous
Oh right! Hope you enjoy Lisbon and let me know if you want any recs. Very worth it visiting the periphery if you have the chance. Only sad you missed last weekend's summer weather!
Olá! Not your first time here, is it? I think I've seen you mentioning visiting before
Oh, welcome! Where are you staying?
This sounds so fun and that preorder gift is so creative 😮

Book cover for To Ride Hell's Chasm by Janny Wurts. The title is written in large, bold, crimson capital letters across the center of the image. A small, winged, orange bird-like dragon illustration is perched on the "R" in "RIDE". Below the title, a quote reads: "'A GIFTED CREATOR OF WONDER' Raymond E. Feist".
Finally reading my first Janny Wurts, whom I've heard great things about!
Got these two and can't wait for that third!
Psst #BookSky, are you looking for a new #readingchallenge? Because it's April which means the new r/Fantasy bingo card has just dropped!

I record them by writing little reviews for them in my journal so I remember why I didn't like them enough to continue (it's also interesting to maybe read them again years later and find out if my perspective changed). But I don't count them as a "read book"
The "we were once close friends/family but now our moral codes have diverged our paths drastically and tragically and we must stand by them" and the "ancient civilization, which may or may not still be alive, left these artifacts behind" hit me every time
In love with this!!
It's aliiiiive! The Kickstarter is live!
...but also, apparently I'm not allowed to help anymore. I have been sternly told to take my medicine and go to bed. BOO, NICHOLAS.
they're beautiful! Preorder goodie or?
Not yet and after the book I'm scared to! I'm not really a fan of body horror in that well, it achieves its goal too well with me and it makes me nauseous. But I will watch it! How faithful is it to the book?
We released a stack of fiction and non-fiction eligible for the Hugos this year. If you’ve yet to cast a vote (or GdM gives you an irresistible urge to turn your coat) then this is what we put out there and the relevant categories (check the following Tweets):
I think I've used critic once but mostly reviewer. Both because I see people tend to associate "critic" with this self-important figure that is telling readers what to think (which I strongly disagree with but oh well) and because by dictionary definition, critics get paid!
what's your take on it? I was looking to read it because of the upcoming movie
