I think I'm going to just start blocking people who post "shut up, Wesley" gifs. Not that I interact with them anyway, but it's really fucking irritating since they never contribute anything meaningful anyway.

These facts are of particular curiosity and hilarity to me 😂

Old school ratfucks are the best ratfucks. If you're gonna go for it, honor the ancestors.
Watching the descent & crying. I remember John Glenn & all the capsules splashing down. It's so important that we get our heads out of our navels and do space science.
Fund NASA.
I *love* this aesthetic.

I promise to try to be patient. 😄
Oh MY.
Writerly thoughts of the evening: the benefits and downsides of sequels, having just written a sequel myself.
The big upside is that fans of a first book are a ready-made audience. The big downside is that it creates a barrier to entry for non-fans ("Do I have to read them in order?").
Science fiction you say? 😶
And the tavern goes wild! 🐺🔥🪕
Anyone who turns their nose up at you using what you have to do what you love isn't worth the time it takes to process their words. Rock on.
It breaks my heart a little every time I peruse the guitar or bass threads and someone posts their kit and qualifies it with "I know what everyone's going to say but it's all I could afford."
Friends, get what you can, when you can, and rock your heart out. Music is an expression of the soul.
I admit, it took me a long minute. I haven't had any coffee yet. 😅
Just so you understand, this is as if you prepared for argument in front of a panel that included Cookie Monster, and Cookie Monster asked you a question about cookies, and you had not thought about cookies in advance.

A number of peat pots full of soil and recently sprouted green seedlings under grow lights inside an old fish tank with condensation on the glass and the aquarium graphic background still visible.
(The pots in question, since it occurs to me that it's probably rude to not show!)
Hardening? Perfect typo? 😅
This is an amazing setup you have, I just have a few pots in an old fish tank covered with a kitchen trash bag to keep warmth and moisture inside. Not sure how I'm going to get them hardened off since I go to work when it's still dark out...
AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
You can tell when he goes on and off script. It's painfully obvious...
September 2024 is decades ago today.
Your periodic reminder that there is a website that lets you listen to local radio stations anywhere in the world
This is honestly one of the coolest inventions ever, imo. Global access to hyper-local imagined communities
(For the record, I actually like Nickelback!)
When you're listening to radio stations in other countries on the Internet and they're rocking out in the local language and then the next song comes on and it's Nickelback 🤣
