This might foment controversy, but here goes:

Most people are not assholes. A big problem with society is that the gargantuan assholes have a monstrously large megaphone. Most people are basically fine to let other people be. Most people like their neighbors once they actually talk to them.

They couldn't even give me a direct "no," actually. I got mixed messages from the recruiters I was working with, but reading between the lines, they went with other candidates and just ghosted me. All that prep and I couldn't get the time of day to show for it. Fuck my professional life.

I didn't have the proper chance to process this as it unfolded, but shit, it's hitting me now. I'm so mad deep down rn.
