Yeah, from a fan perspective it *feels* like there's been nobody at the wheel and things keep happening; the report will say. As for hires, search firms do that, and didn't have to do much: Moore and Naurato were internal, Beilein said go get Dusty, Whittingham fell into their laps.

Good interview, addressed some open questions about policies re: Sherrone's firing. Pushes back a little too hard on bad faith criticism (shoulda known about Weiss?) vs, e.g. waiting on Mel. Won't shift a fanbase largely in "Dunno; let's see the report" mode.

From yesterday, it's an older code, but it checks out.

For both basketball titles, since we are a basketball school now.

Mine is holding a double-digit lead over Purdue all night at Mackey, then thanking their fans for making it feel like it never got past 2: x.com/ByAZuniga/st...

In defense of Lindsay Ellis: three sci-fi novels and singlehandedly holding up Nebula.
Meyer tree loves GT because it creates a natural QB belly and flare screen check behind it. Another sign they plan to have a rather developed QB run game.
Maybe the defense is REALLY good?
Can you drop me a Reuben?
This small admission is actually a big one. BTN has been slowly expanding its illegal copyright claims of Fair Use material (because YouTube will now look the other way for a price). This guy just said the new Learfiekd owners intend to commit more crime.

The part about monetizing "data rights" frightened me. They have already been illegally pushing copyright claims on fair use material. I read that part like one of these suits saying straight out "I don't think we're breaking the law enough given how much we can get away with already."
(When you have a good paleontological/Michigan insider joke then spend all morning hoping the one other person in both worlds sees it).
On a very special WTKA Roundtable episode we will choose something else to talk about, but on this one we are probably just going to moan about Michigan's Frozen Fourtunes.

We were going to call him ol' Carcharodontosaurus Spraguearicus, given the dorsoventral depth of his anterior maxillary interdental plates are more than twice their anteroposterior width, but most kids probably won't know the difference.
Tornado doesn't want to admit the Children loosened it.
You're good; we're doing basketball scores this year.
They would make more money if they paid attention at all to hockey. This isn't a money issue, but one of priorities. Rather than expend the effort to grow hockey they'll expend the same effort to push a few more football games to a high-bid streaming service, because that's what they care about.
Hockey is inherently more random, meaning in a single-elimination tournament the best team has virtually the same chance to win as the worst. The more games you play, the greater proportion of the outcome is determined by skill versus chaos.
It's been days and I still don't feel any better about the Frozen Four. If the B10 cared about hockey they'd pull out of this sham tournament until there are pro officials, home regionals, and multi-game series. Caring about a 100yo team that sells out every game shouldn't make me the asshole.
I'd almost recommend going up to Utica (Holliday (holidaypizzachuckscatering.com) and Tivoli's tivolispizzeria.com)) for sfincione to have the basis of comparison. The Detroit greasepan style is about oil almost frying the edges. Sfincione is the Sicilian dish Detroit-style was trying to replicate.
Loui's or Green Lantern if you want to be hardcore. Sfincione from Holliday in Utica (order 2 days ahead) if you want the Sicilian original.
Buddies (with the Wisconsin brick cheese) will get the job done. Jets (with the parmesan crust) is the chain that is most surprisingly close to the real deal.

What's the answer on #2? With no insider knowledge, I believe the report will ask:
1. What are Michigan's policies to prevent what happened?
2. Were those polices followed?
If best practices were not in place, that's a problem. If they were and were ignored, that's a bigger problem.
TY to Sam Jane of @mlive.com for including me. As I told Sam, the AD job has 3 components:
1. Win.
2. Don't embarrass us.
3. Raise money.
Every AD has strengths, but a weakness can't be a catastrophic failure. Warde is fine on 1 and 3. The investigation is into #2.

NCAA hockey doesn't need a Tournament. Just extend the season with some 3-game series between some power schools then award the team at the top of NPI.
What was that...seven clear penalties they ignored on Denver this overtime before deciding to call THAT on Michigan?
