maybe if my liking of these creatures had been nurtured by people and society around me, I would be an insect nerd today, and I would definitely not be grossed out or scared by a lot of them. anyways that was part of the thinking process behind the fic's ending! 🫶

when I was a kid I picked up isopods and centipedes because I thought they were just neat, fun little creatures! then I was taught directly and indirectly that insects are gross and weird and I eventually started believing that and now I could Not pick up a centipede anymore.
