i'm getting ~110 KB/s with v6 compared to ~80 MB/s with v4 while downloading a certain lubuntu-24.04.4-desktop-amd64.iso
though it looks like netvigator's ipv6 connectivity is dogshit
apparently netvigator (my isp) supports ipv6, but it's not advertised anywhere and i assumed no one supports ip6 here
just in case there are other hk nerds out there with the same isp, www.netvigator.com/chi/ipv6/che...
(the page might not work the first time (or in english), try refreshing)
is anyone up for peering? i do know where I could find peers but i am deathly afraid of asking people out of the blue
in desc. pref: (HK[ip4+NAT] / DE[ip46] / JP[ip46])
since im not ready to peer yet as i need to do private testing first, this is just for reference

i wonder what makes my pc completely choke when anything io-intensive is running, like btrfs balance or some multithreaded copying action. doesn't happen on my laptop or shitbook
just tried with a "new" yubikey (backup key without anything setup) and it does indeed work. i did set up a fido2 pin off-camera cuz resident/discoverable keys require passwords.
i hope bsky doesn't make the video more crusty than it already is...

i think ive already had a fido2 pin setup before ssh-keygen and might've also set the resident option per ssh-keygen(1). unfortunately I don't have the exact cmdline since it was too long ago :(
one thing to note is that the private part isn't stored on disk, just the .pub needed for git sigs
interesting! i also have an ed25519-sk setup, but i also use ssh-agent, and the key is stored as a resident fido2 key. i only have to key in my pin once on import (via ssh-add -K), and every auth just takes a touch on the yk.
im not sure if there are any security implications to this though.
