also also, without context people would assume Smundge is chaotic evil cuz he's so murderous but hes more akin to a feral animal. his morals arent going to be the same. itd be like granting a feral cat full adult human sentience and expecting it to not kill things in its way

oh also, revenant form Lucas shifts more morally grey because he gets so zealous in his pursuit of Dreth
