“Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt."

Back to the simple natural order of things…….. not human arrogance based on destruction of our water, air, environment for profit…… for the 1%
“Feud with the Pope” is BACK as a likely Wikipedia section heading after a 400-year gap.
Maybe the most depressing conclusion I’ve come around to in the past decade (and there are many) is that trying to teach & promote widespread “critical thinking” has been a complete and catastrophic failure. Most of the population is not capable of it, and it is socially disastrous when they try.
Not once in the 80s, 90s or 00s do I recall a politician urging the public to embrace email, mobile phones, texting, two factor authentication, online banking, air fryers, or to replace all their cassette collection with a CD collection.
So forgive me if I smell a rat.
In my experience the more incompetent the person is the more they love large language AI word prediction machines.
It's like these guys ask a bot to write one email for them and they're sold. It's snake oil and idiots always fell for snake oil
thank you for sharing
everytime a study like this comes out i share it and it gets no tractions, but one fake sob story about a wind turbine ruining a life will be shared a million times and I can always trace it back to some fossil funded think tank, I despair :-(
Fossil Fuels have always undermined Renewables across society, so many rural voters hate wind turbines for 'reasons' because a think tank told them something false once. I despair :-(
Not just GenZ
The people in love with AI are (in my experience) incompetent, so the incompetent are poisoning their own bot with their stupidity. And i'm here for that!

as far as i can tell pope leo has never mentioned trump by name hes just like “killing people is wrong” or “concentration camps arent good” and theyre all taking it personally
Exactly one year ago today:
So far, Vance’s foreign policy record is yelling at Zelensky for not thanking Trump enough, campaigning for AfD in Germany and Orban in Hungary, getting rejected by the Pope on his invite to the US, and failing in the Iran negotiations.
Spanish PM Pedro calls for the IMMEDIATE ARREST of Netanyahu
He said: "Netanyahu launched the worst possible unjustified attack against Lebanon. His contempt for life and international law is intolerable. He is a criminal that must be arrested immediately.” #cdnpoli
I like this because it articulates the conservative concept of freedom in a nutshell. You have the freedom to do x, except you don't, because I don't want you to. bsky.app/profile/atru...
image from inside Artemis II text: i need more men to understand that two men crying and hugging in space after one of them announced they were naming a moon crater after the other one's late wife is actually what peak masculinity looks like.
Prime Minister of Spain Pedro Sánchez:
“The Government of Spain will not applaud those who set the world on fire just because they show up with a bucket.”

Only a master deal maker could achieve the status quo of 5 weeks ago in exchange for accomplishing nothing of value and turning his country into a global pariah. Thank you sir
Kurt Russell as Snake Plisken dropping the line "Get a new president."
Once again, Snake Plisken is on point.
At pre-election rallies in #Hungary, the crowd began chanting: #Russians — go home! The historic slogan "Ruszkik haza" emerged during the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 and was directed against the #Soviet occupation 👍

Viral photo from some years back of a man nonchalantly mowing his yard with a tornado on the horizon .
How it feels doing literally any task right now.
The Moon: oh wow you guys decided to come back
Artemis II crew: earth’s haunted
So pro-life means jailing women who miscarry but shrugging when the deranged president says “a whole civilization will die tonight.” Do I have that right?
This is my favorite climate change chart. Japanese monks, aristocrats, and emperors kept meticulous records of cherry blossom festivals for 1,200 years and accidentally built the world's longest climate dataset.
@johncreedon.bsky.social long time no hellos! apologies but when the clocks change youre back on the ol'wireless over here, change of shift 😆 lots of love, and my gorgeous dog called April Fool is 17 years old today!

AI and a newish radiologist said the growth in my breast was benign. It was v small, circumscribed. A 2nd radiologist with decades of experience said, “it looks fine but I still don’t like it. Get a biopsy.” It was triple neg breast cancer. We need more experts. radiologybusiness.com/topics/artif...
As a people, I don’t get to decide. My employer gets to decide, and apparently it’s critical I sit in an office looking at the same screen I can look at at home
