The Dippers didn't seem keen on me watching at first, but they soon went back to collecting and washing moss to use to line their nest. A couple of weeks ago at Linn Park in Glasgow. #birds

The locks on the Forth and Clyde canal at Maryhill in Glasgow are closed and partly drained to allow for repair work. That work is being overseen by a suitably qualified Heron who does a proper shift but also fits in some fishing during breaks. #birds

All those places are beautiful, and important for sure. This particular photo was taken on the River Clyde proper, before the tidal weir, somewhere probably very few visitors will see.
Cheers from sunny Dundee. Just after I took this pic, a seal surfaced about 40ft away, watched me take the first sup of the pint, then disappeared again.

Just arrived. Brand new lambs in a field beside Cardross Road, yesterday.
👍 Even between last year and this there seems to be more going on.
When they're away off in the distance, dark against a white sky, you're not sure... but if you watch carefully, the tells are there, and you've just seen your first hunting Osprey of the year. One of three we saw at Loch Lomond this Easter Monday morning. #birds

Female Sparrowhawk working on her nest in Glasgow yesterday as the weather got steadily worse. Took me a while to realise her partner was sitting in a tree nearby watching her work. Hopefully the nest survived the storm overnight. #birds
Thanks!

The Heronry in Richmond Park in Glasgow has young in many of the ten nests. The Herons in the first frame are at least six weeks old now, the two in the second frame have just appeared in the last week or so. #birds
