He's safe isn't he. Should he be is another question. He's out of his depth. This young team needs a proper manager, an experienced leader. But that type would come in with their own ideas and transfer requirements and this ownership/SDs can't live with that. They're too far down the rabbit hole.

I'm not defending blueco AT ALL, those things do play a part.. but they should've combated it properly then. Instead of getting a serious backup to Palmer they got us Buonanotte on deadline day then loaned him out a few months later. It's not even naivety, it's worse, it's arrogance

To think the likes of Luis Enrique was there at one point. Even with someone with his type of experience in charge of this group of players, regardless of their failings, would've done a better job. Only now they're saying they'll go for more experienced players: now we don't have UCL or the money!

"oh why hello Mr Boehly, would you take £1.50 for that there left back of yours? You would hey... Nice doing business with you.

And might I say what a handsome fella you are"

Exactly!
GK is covered. Penders, the second coming of Courtois & Cech combined with the feet of Fabregas, he can slide rule those risky passes straight to the oppo attackers. If only he can bypass their attack and find one of our defenders we could start passing it sideways between the back 4 sooner

The SDs are gonna buy who the SDs are gonna buy, regardless of the manager. It's their team not the manager's. The new 18, 19 and 20 yo signings won't help the manager anyway.

Rosenior? RoJunior more like.

A total shambles and the season is spiralling

It's "f'ing obvious that we are building one of the best teams in the world"

Assume it's because there are a handful of "dodgy" deals that breached rules rather than all transfers during that time

I'm glad we're allowed to sell players still to stay afloat! Less so about not being able to change defence thru transfer market!

Also, what does this mean for City's 115 charges

Exactly that. Select the right option. Play it safe. The hoof is a get out of jail.

Also, loved Glenn Hoddle on Comms, get the keeper to switch positions with a midfielder in training, see how they like receiving a pass under pressure facing your goal. No wonder Enzo was going berserk at him!

Absolutely! I think Levi has been a huge miss this season tbf.
I do get the keepers need to use their feet, that's fine, it's modern football. You just need one with a brain. If the pass isn't on, don't try to thread it through the eye of the needle between attackers. Play it simple or hoof it.

Yeah absolutely. Unfortunately the pool of available goalkeepers that can use their feet like prime Cesc Fabregas, and use their hands as well is very small. No pressure Penders!

Reece James: “This is football, this is the way we want to play. If you play out from the back mistakes are going to happen."

Isn't that the definition of madness? To continuously do the same thing expecting a different outcome. If you know it's a problem do something about it, surely?!

Unfortunately we're going to have to play a goalkeeper at the Bridge too.. so we're already 1 goal down..

I'm being very negative. But honestly it would be the miracle of all miracles I think.

But more often than not the ball gets turned over, or he plays it to their forward, or into danger, leading to slow build up passing at the back. It's insane.

Sanchez isn't great with his feet but he was key to us beating them in the summer with his long passing.

A baffling decision.

The game changed on his mistake. We were in control at 2-2 until then.

The ball went through his hands for one of the goals.

I agree, poor defending from others too.

Subs late and poor choices.

That style of play loses games. I'm sorry keepers are forced to play it, it doesn't work

That terrible keeper has cost us big time. He is the absolute worst. Unnecessary dangerous passes across the goal, inviting pressure, playing 60/40 chance passes into the centre of midfield...What on earth is he doing. Not a shot stopper or good passer

Late and poor subs didn't help.

No chance now

How have we ended up with a spurs scoreline?!

This is the problem though, it's not the same as any other position. How often is Raya or Donarumma spoken about like that.

GK and CBs are so much about consistency and confidence. Swapping them every other game does not promote either.

Let's hope Jorgensen doesn't need to make any saves

Not a dive mate. He tripped on the ball. Big difference. Apparently

Did Madueke just win a penalty by ...tripping on the ball?

Spot on!
Jorgensen and gusto though....

After last night's craziness in the UCL, I'm hoping we don't follow suit and contribute with mad defensive lapses and high scorelines! Such is our ability to implode...

Can't wait for us to prove the summer wasn't just a fluke.

I reckon we've got this, over two legs.

I don't understand this playing out from the back. We persist with players who aren't capable of doing it. Why invite pressure when the players don't have the technical skill to break the press. It leads to so many errors/chances against, we could cut it out and prevent a few goals each season
