Yesterday, AG Ford joined partners at the Substance Use Response Working Group (SURG) meeting to address substance use across Nevada. Through collaboration, we’re working to strengthen prevention, expand treatment, and support recovery in our communities.
A big victory for Nevada’s research institutions. After a federal court ruled the DOE’s funding cap unlawful and the DOJ chose not to pursue an appeal, the policy was rescinded. UNR and UNLV estimate this lawsuit saved them $30 million, safeguarding research and innovation statewide.
