Normally I would agree with you, but the existence of Paddington 2 makes a strong argument for a benevolent entertainment deity that wants everyone to enjoy something.

Thought I'd give Alan Moore's novel a go, and made it until page sixty-six where he stated outright that his main character was suffering 'inner turmoil'.
Now I want an Elmo themed Vampire: The Masquerade sourcebook...
'mork borg it up' should be illegal to say to graphic designers
Ooooh, anything good? I imagine you can't tell us, but goddam if I don't ask!
20k words on the novel draft! Now the real work begins working on the retooled first half, and getting even more grimdark griminess into all the nooks and crannies #fantasy #amwriting #writing #novel

@jamesbluecat.bsky.social reading Pagans whilst listening to Heilung - a perfect pairing, thanks for this ace read!
Even when I'm burnt out, running a game always lifts my spirits - reminds me that people care about the story I have to tell! Hope you're looking after yourself Elaine!
Hit 10,000 words on the second go at my fantasy novel. Lot of polishing and revising so the opening matched the changes I had found in the characters halfway through the first draft. Themes have shifted too. Think I'm having fun? It's weird writing again! #novel #writing #fantasy
I'm Alpharius and so is my wife
I'm a bit biased of course, but the collaborative patron design in Imperium Maledictum is great - gives the players a stake in the world building right off the bat.
While I 100% with your theory, my doctor says 'what are you doing you mad man, your heart is going to explode'
We're not supposed to know what goes on at the bottom of the ocean. I saw this thing that looked like a carrier bag full of eyes holding an umbrella. That's nobody's business
She's an absolute villain, it's bleak

"em dashes are AI" i didn't memorize alt+0151 and option+shift+hyphen to be accused of such treachery
Oooh have fun!
My wife and I have been meaning to play this for ages! I can recommend Seance of Blake Manor as something similar if you've not played it, v. spooky, with a great Irish mythology theme :)
I would feel this, but I am notoriously bad at even the most basic maths, so my flat planning consists of swearing - though seeing all those chapters and art ready to assign out is pretty groovy.
Ah flatplans... my old nemesis... we meet again...
*badass outro music starts playing as I exhaustedly count page numbers*
ME: I'll just sit down for a moment what could it hurt
THE TORTOISE WITH A KNIFE STRAPPED TO ITS SHELL WHICH HAS BEEN QUIETLY FOLLOWING ME FOR YEARS: yea that's right dipshit take a breather go on
I've got three goals for 2026:
1) Continue my podcast Nocturna Britannia, and enjoy telling horror stories.
2) Finish a draft of the novel I started last year. I hit 50,000 words, burnt out and got lost - I'm ready to start again.
3) Make a bunch of cool Warhammer books at my Cubicle 7 job
I'm about 2/3rds of the way through but Slow Gods by Claire North is already one of my favourite sci-fi books. Absolutely knockout stuff.
Hello! Former comics editor turned TTRPG producer!
That was really nice, thank you
Need to have a crack at the new d&d novels!
Camp Damascus is such a banger - finished Bury Your Gays the other week as well, love his stuff.
Not played the dune TTRPG, how are you finding it?
