What are the best places to learn about what people are building with the BlueSky platform

1 year ago 3 0 1 0

If you identify your audience first then yes. I have only done what you describe with a long (very long) YouTube video where I had it breakdown the key topics then explain then asked Qs

Awful and unreal. Glad you are safe.

What’s the best conference you have ever been to?

This looks great. After setup with Windsurf and Cursor I’m going to try to stay focused. It’s usually not the tool but the output. I do like learning this stuff.

The best part has been having AI help with API docs and Git repos - got lost before without being able to Q&A

Excited to try this out. I might be too dumb for advanced Zed mode but at least I’m shipping

Shipped 2 things already! Over on X but a TV (or any screen) screen saver connected to Unsplash API and a browser extension that puts a todo list in every new tab. Next is an email thing

It’s a great tool. It reminds me a bit of photoshop - it can do anything, but out of the box it does nothing. You have to do a few tutorials and make something yourself to truly get it. So far worth paying for it

Looking to follow more beginner builders here using tools like CursorAI (like me) who want to ship mini projects - who should I follow

How is this game? Heard good things

Been thinking a lot about this too. It’s a strong move that gets supported by everyone in their stack from LPs to employees

Open Source could help here - just want to get knowledge into more hands

1 year ago 1 0 0 0

Thats a really good point - the model matters - even if good intentions, someone still built it and it will have some biases. I had thought of it like encyclopedia britannica in your pocket + ability to ask questions, but it still matters who the author is

1 year ago 1 0 1 0

That is exactly right. It will happen and be fully open source - its now possible and 1 grant could probably make it possible for millions of people

1 year ago 0 0 1 0

I look at it like everyone gets a encyclopedia in their pocket - but instead of "having to read it" they get a customized tutor for themselves who never gets tired of explaining things and grows at their level
