Great Sabriel cosplay from Lady Jane Fabrications at Bookcon! I do always love to see Old Kingdom cosplay (or from any of my other books).

This is up in less than two weeks. As well as reading, I’ve been tidying my office, and I’ve found a few small things to give away.
I'm making one last push to let people know about this online talk -- sponsored by the British Library in conjunction with their current exhibition on fairy tales. The live stream starts at 7:30 tonight, but if you buy a ticket *before* the event you can watch it any time over the next 7 days.
I don't know, it was long ago when audio books were not so prevalent. When I was first emailed his name (not a sample) as a possibility, I answered "Maybe that guy should change his name so as not to get confused with THE Tim Curry." When they told me it was the man himself, I said "Yes please".

I'll be reading in company with some great authors at TWISTED FICTION at the Shakepeare Hotel, Sydney on May 4th.
I ran a Call of Cthulhu game last weekend. I haven't played or run CoC for years (sadly I very rarely get to play any rpg these days). Insanity reared up early, of course, aboard a Ford Trimotor in flight over the sea, suddenly bathed in the bilious green light of an unnatural lighthouse . . .
It is endlessly fascinating reading short biographical entries of minor historical figures. One not particularly distinguished retired admiral from the 1920s lists his recreations as "golf" and "dowsing".
A Regency scene. Lady Truthful on the left in dress; and on the right Truthful disguised as a man in tailcoat and boots, with pistol. A Regency house on the left, a ship on the right. A large emerald sparkles in the bottom right.
It's really great to see Kali Ciesemier's original illustration for the cover of NEWT'S EMERALD back again for the new Australian "Romantasy" edition. Out in June. The new US edition (different cover) is already out.

Unfortunately LucasFilm/Disney completely own THE SEVENTH TOWER and I can't get them to do audio books or republish them or anything.
Thanks for posting this. Great pic.

Happy publication day to me!
With Wolfskin's release, the Common Saga, a project I started writing when I was 21 years old, is complete and out in the world forever.
I hope you enjoy my savage little world. And please share far and wide.

A pattern of lichen? creating the image of a ghost on top of a stone casket/monument.
Ghost preparing to rise from the grave at Waverley cemetery. Looks cheery, at least. Possibly a giant rabbit spirit though …

PSST! You still have 5 days to enter the giveaway for Dead Weight! Nightfire is giving away 50 copies*!
As ever, I would appreciate if you’d share this post and even add the book on Goodreads. Apparently Goodread adds matter a lot in some algorithmic way that is beyond me.

It was very interesting but also peculiar. There was a weird kind of sleeping beauty castle vibe. I was severely jet lagged and fell asleep on a bench waiting between meetings and woke up very disorientated, next to a life-size Darth Vader statue.
When I visited Skywalker ranch in 1999 (for something not Star Wars) I heard there was no final shooting script for Phantom Menace, the story was being assembled on the go as Lucas shot many alternatives and tried them out. So not really written at all … which from the result seems true.
Thanks. This is weird because there was a problem years ago (2023) for a brief time but it hasn’t cropped up since. I’ll let the publisher know. Please do follow up with Amazon as well.
Which Amazon site and when? There was briefly a problem in the UK in 2023 but it was fixed. Also I can’t see any recent reviews concerning a problem on either Amazon.com, .co.uk or .com.au
The confusion of YA (literally “young adult” not “old children”) with children’s creates many misunderstandings and confusions.
