Decision Desk HQ projects the VA Congressional Redistricting Referendum will Pass.
While No currently has the lead, based on the location and size of the remaining vote, Yes will take the lead as soon as the remaining counties report.

The next administration must make clear that any immigrant, refugee, or asylum seeker wrongly deported, exiled, or otherwise mistreated by this administration will be readmitted with an expedited path to citizenship. Send a plane to get them.
We can't undo the damage. But we can do something.

Huge gratitude to you and all those who stepped up for this family & others; what a beautiful story. 🧵
I hope folks outside of MN know that:
Things have changed, but our communities are still being impacted.
We're not giving up on each other, or on the folks who were taken from our communities.
This declaration was an existential threat to gender care.
While they may appeal, the Feds argued previously that this declaration was a "non-binding" opinion - so its enforcement was already suspect. Threats to care remain high, but this is a major win as we push forward.

“...Not because we own land, but because we are part of it, and there is a specific mandate that all of us, whether we want to acknowledge it or not, are dependent on land."
“When we talk about LANDBACK, we’re trying to provide people a different framework of understanding and remembering the relationship to the land and why it’s important for us to defend land..."

Seems like history would emphatically disagree:
"American combat deaths in World War I totaled 53,402. But about 45,000 American Soldiers died of influenza and related pneumonia by the end of 1918."

I have long said we should pay legislators probably double the current salary - with the expectation of year-round constituent engagement during their service.
70 Minnesota children.
Delta Air Lines, who likely flew nearly all of these kiddos out of MSP, could publicly condemn this and end the practice tomorrow, as the airlines did in 2018 with family separation, but it’s easier to stay silent.
Sure are some *interesting* gender dynamics in this workplace…
"In Minnesota, a trio of justices with experience as public defenders—a very unusual concentration by national standards—is up for reelection."
FWIW: MN's judicial elections have not (to date) been as polarizing as some states. All of our current justices are Democratic appointees.

I lost an uncle to pancreatic cancer, it was mere months between his diagnosis and passing.
I can’t fathom knowing there may be effective tools to a deadly cancer, and instead choosing conspiracy theories over science.
Congrats!!
trans women have a biological advantage at being hot now
Based on the number I personally reached out to legislators on, yes, these numbers are only a fraction of those received.
Trans sports participation will continue to be in the news - and we will get a Supreme Court ruling on the topic likely in June, but MN has defended it on multiple levels successfully so far and we continue to stand for inclusion.
Stay hopeful.
The ruling:
www.courthousenews.com/wp-content/u...
There’s some…not great language choices in the ruling, but the bottom line is this:
Trans athletes get to keep playing alongside their friends in Minnesota. And with just weeks left in the school year, that means many get to finish out another season.
That’s *huge* for them, for their teams.
The technical part of the win is whether the plaintiffs could bring a private right of action here under Title IX (spoiler alert: no!)
But less technical is the court’s understanding that our policies aren’t *intended* to cause harm to female athletes. Which might feel obvious - but *matters*
The 8th Circuit that MN sits in is fairly conservative; with all but one of the judges appointed by Republicans.
The judge who issued this appeal ruling is a George W Bush appointee who has been on Supreme Court shortlists.
The other two on the review were Trump appointees.
