lmaaooo my dad bought my mom a gift card for valentine’s day not realizing that the rainbow on the card had the exact colors from the progress pride flag
this is also why I prefer to watch movies in my room alone so I can focus on enjoying them without hearing my parents getting offended at anything they believe goes against their xtian beliefs
I don’t watch recent movies/shows with my parents often bc they complain about the swearing & tell me to “avert my eyes“ whenever there’s a sex/makeout scene
like,,,,I’m a grown adult and I don’t mind these things in movies
sorry for the late reply, but this is a wonderful resource! thank you! ☺️
with everything that's going on right now in the us, I keep reminding myself that small things make a difference - whether it's spreading info/resources, donating, or showing support for someone during difficult times 💜
watched wicked part one with my parents and wow 😳 we were all blown away by the singing and choreography 😳
i was constantly thinking about what standing up for marginalized people’s rights + causes looks like in today’s society & how we can always listen/improve/take action
my reading goals for 2026 including reading more picture books bc they contain wonderful and beautiful stories 🥰

If you hear loud huffing and snorting sounds coming from your patch of acorn squash worry not- its just a gourd fairy running around :)
It's spooky mon season 👻
took a walk in the sprinkling rain today with an umbrella & i felt like a studio ghibli character ☺️
i remember having a lauren bacall phase like over ten years ago & was obsessed with her movies + looks
now my interest in her work has dropped significantly & i haven’t watched anything of hers in years,,,,i still own copies of her autobiography/memoir, it would be nice to reread them sometime
Host Donald O'Connor, Elaine Stewart, and Lauren Bacall for “The Colgate Comedy Hour” (1954)
i was hosting a program at work & this older woman came in who was a lauren bacall doppelgänger 😳
honestly the wizard of oz is unlike any of judy garland’s other movies, it’s in a category of its own
it’s so damn special and magical and wonderful, nothing else can touch it
me while watching the wizard of oz: 🥹
me remembering what happened to judy garland later in her life: *sobs* 😭
*fall arrives*
me: it’s ray bradbury season 😌

the romantasy books i’ve read in the past either had annoying characters or were too dark for me
then i discovered behooved - what a hilarious, beautiful book about a main character living with a chronic illness + coming to terms with what she wants for herself + what being strong means
Maureen O'Hara on the cover of Movieland, August 1945

it really made my day 🥹
thinking of all my friends trapped in the belly of the machine that is america today, please stay alive and keep fighting
people have been setting off fireworks in my neighborhood for days, i just want to read in peace 🙄
been occupied with job changes and life lately, still reading my books and staying informed
I’ve been reading long form articles instead of the news every morning and that has given me something to look forward to each day ☺️
