Faculty line in cognitive psychology in my department at Western Washington University.

We just, finally, received permission to search. Details will be posted in early January.

But hey, I just want to get this out so people will be watching.

Nice place and university. I’ve liked it.

Last week, NSF archived the ECR:Building Capacity in STEM Education Research (ECR:BCSER) program (NSF 22-548).

ECR:BCSER will NOT accept proposals for the February 27, 2026 deadline.

We've compiled some tips for potentially retooling a ECR:BCSER proposal idea for other NSF programs:

Seeing so many ppl posting "trans rights are human rights" is heartening. Also made me aware some ppl don't know which rights are unprotected or explicitly denied.

If you're unsure or talking w/ folks who are, lgbtmap.org provides a detailed overview by state and issue.

I found this birding book along the side of the road on the Tamiami trail in the Everglades on 8/25/25. It is so well loved with sightings going back decades. If you're a birder (I am not) please spread the word and hep me find the owner so they can be reunited

So, a republican man killed a republican man at a republican event in a republican state. Who’s at fault? Well, the dems of course.

Kilmeade should be immediately fired. But of course, he won’t be.

@drsianproctor.bsky.social is the first Black woman to pilot a spaceship, an Afrofuturist artist, and has a doctorate in educational psychology. She is probably the only person in the world who could create a place like this.

It's a fantastic opportunity to be a part of the future.

The brain drain created by this Administration’s anti science policies will affect research for decades.

They are robbing your children of the cures they would have seen.

Stealing science, killing cures.

Drawing of a moonlit Walker's moth.

In 1862, Francis Walker first described Sosxetra grata. It remains the only member of it's genus, and the origins of the word "Sosxetra" remain clouded in mystery.

Black Bladder-Bodied Meloid larvae, called triungulins, use their claws to attach to ground-nesting bees and catch a ride to the nest. There they feed on bee eggs and other stored provisions until they emerge in their adult form. #invertefest #sciart #bugart
