Definition of religion, with checkmark buy "the belief in and worship of a superhuman power" and "a particular system of faith or worship" and an X by "a pursuit or interest to which someone ascribes supreme importance."
I know it's trendy among Christians and the more sanctimonious atheists to call vocal ("new"/"reddit") atheists "religious" because, well, we're vocal. We've ascribed some degree of importance and taken an interest in atheism.
But it's not "a religion" in the sense, you know, RELIGION is.
And ultimately, most atheists don't care if someone believes in a god—IF that belief a) makes them a good person and b) is kept to themselves, not pushed on others and definitely not used as a threat.
Let us "know you by your fruits," i.e. being a good person, not by proselytizing.
One of the biggest things theists need to understand about atheism is that it's a response to the claims of theism.
I think most nonbelievers would be perfectly happy to keep their non-belief to themselves if believers would do the same. But unfortunately, proselytizing is a part of most religions.
Ahh yes, I do remember that particular line of questioning, but seeing it from someone else... a Canadian, maybe? I think there was a flag in their name. But it is a simple and easy test for any god—that no believer can actually pass.

Ah yes, I've been down that rabbit hole, like how no ✝️ ever took the Biblical creation myth seriously... They knew it was just a story but they had to have the story cuz they didn't have science yet.
And look, if you stand far enough away and squint just right, it's just like science found out! 🙄
You don't even have to read the whole book.
Just take the Jesus part, the gospels, and try to make one coherent timeline of the most important person in Christianity's life, teachings, and death/resurrection.
But, of course, some Christians will chime in to tell you how wrong you are because that's not what their sect teaches... then other Christians will jump in to say those Christians are wrong—or at least "misinterpreting" whatever passage.
Almost like the Bible can be whatever the reader wants.

Yep. That's how atheists are made.
If Jesus cared about "healing the sick," he'd have explained how disease is not caused by demons and how to properly wash one's hands.
Don't have a magical piece of cloth? It's OK:

Don't forget, back in Biblical times, evil spirits were still a leading cause of illness and death.

They're simply "interpreting" passages from "God's Holy Word" differently.

Look. I know there are nice Christian people.
The issue, is that the religion has resulted in such awful people going back generation after generation for millennia.
It can’t just be the people. The idea itself must be flawed.
The religion that breeds hate cannot be good.
The Bible tells us to love one another but I prefer the Kama Sutra better because it's more specific.
I went to pick up a box of these, but they were all broken.
