2013. The second of the back to back ashes that year. Cluster feeding a newborn baby and so grateful for the company of old men on TMS talking about cricket. Hugs to you.

I’ve got work tomorrow but during the 2015 Trent Bridge Test I was the most productive I have ever been at my job and during test matches since so the boss has a relaxed attitude

The last one i may have posted a lovely photo of a sunny morning. It’s now 2am and snowing. I am sitting alone in a dark house. I have TMS synced with the shite TNT sports I’m paying a silly amount for and questioning my choices.
Go well, hope it’s a great series (and we win) 😆

@dorianlynskey.bsky.social @originstorypodcast.bsky.social I had a long miserable drive in the rain to say goodbye to a much loved pet last night. Thanks for keeping me company.

@lewisgoodall.com thank you for the report from Scunthorpe. I was born and bred there, Dad was a steelworker. I did my first work experience on the furnaces. I’m in tears listening. Thank you for listening and reporting #SaveOurSteel

Happy St.Cuthbert’s Day everyone. The northern saint died on Inner Farne, Farne Islands on this day in 687. During his life it was believed that he offered protection to nesting Eider ducks on the islands, the first protection they’d received.

My mother was most amused that when we got home the daughter had a heat pad on her shoulder, i had an ice pack on my bruised knee and the husband had an ice pack on his ankle. Play cricket, they said, it’s fun and keeps you healthy 🙄

Yes me and her dad managed about 2 overs of very slow spin and both decided that was enough 😆

Wow. I think it’s much better now. It was just an indoor game but by far the longest and most lethal (for batters) spell she’s ever done. Two overs then break. Four overs max from now on. For her and all my u11s including practice

Yeah she’s in Northumberland so it is a bit on the slopey side 😆

Thank you - hope she’s still enjoying her cricket ❤️

Looking for how to manage that sweet spot of properly competitive and not injuring herself. As a half arsed inconsistent leg spinner this is not my wheelhouse

1 year ago 0 0 1 0

My goodness my daughter (11) absolutely smashed it bowling pace at adult men and women and older boys tonight. The extra competition made her better. Now she’s knackered and sore. Advice, #cricket please @wgrumblepants.bsky.social
