The only ones who benefit from secrecy are the ones who are doing bad shit.
But at some point, we’re going to have to find the energy somewhere deep inside to be the heroes we pretend to be in video games. To step up and save the world. To stand for something even if it scares us.
To fix what’s broken for our sake and that of those who come after us. ❤️🩹
We’re so averse to responsibility these days. You hurt someone? Ah well, just make up your own narrative so they can’t defend themselves.
I get that any & all unpleasantness is swept under the rug so we can just go back to creating & consuming happy brain rot content until sweet death comes for us.
Memorials. Plaques & infographics posted next to every business that stood up to fascism — as well as those that capitulated. Supporters large & small held accountable, shoved back into their secret, shameful realms where they have no real power. And history books written with appropriate vitriol.
When he’s gone and this ends, we all have a serious obligation to educate future generations properly so this can never happen again. They tried to do that after the Holocaust and SOME people took the lesson - but it clearly wasn’t enough. We have to do better this time.
Someone told me recently “you didn’t lose them; they lost you, and they know it. Once they stop being mad, the good memories will come back in… and then, the regret.”

When you’ve already been told (in actions, if not words) that you mean nothing to one of the people you love the most this year, there’s this fear that it will happen again. At risk of sounding like a “pick me,” what I yearn for right now is to be shown I’m wanted, passionately. The way I want him.
Love is eternal. I believe ours is, at least. There’s no other person made for me like he is and vice versa. The piece of paper won’t prove or strengthen that. But this endless travel is killing me. It gets worse every time. If it wasn’t for that, and the year I’ve had, I’d be a lot more patient.
Omg that last bit is so insanely relevant to what I’ve been going through! 🤯 it hurts so badly to be tossed aside like garbage
