When I return to the stage I want to be better than before with more focus on my health and listening to my body's needs. I will not longer be overextending myself or make myself feel small for other peoples comfort. Instead I'll be healing myself physically and mentally.
Today, I can wiggle my toes. I can feel without pain. I am very hopeful for the future for once, a pain free future 🥹❤️
Downside to all of this: I will be off work 4 to 8 weeks, I will not be attending any cons for at least 3 to 6 months, I have put all performing on hold for the foreseeable future.
3 ERs later I was finally admitted to a hospital and scheduled for back surgery. They removed multiple fragments of my L4 and L5 disc as well as cleaned up my sciatic nerve a bit.
Being rushed to the ER this week wasn't on my to do list of things that I wanted to this week but I'm glad I was taken in.
The past month I've been in extreme pain to the point I could not walk. It got so bad I was voiding on myself without knowing. My toes were numb and I was terrified.
