just made a "good" world (city) nap for #spellpunk. I gotta keep it close to vest for now, but a new approach was both faster and yielded better results. #ttrpg #inkscape #design #campaignsetting #cyberpunk

So I've added a few more spells to the big list in #spellpunk, and I've started to fill in a bit of the city #map.
The plotlines and adventures are starting to expand in my mind as I generate more content for the #game.
I'm considering adding some RNG to the shopping system, but I can see problems
So I'm looking over my notes from the #playtest and #spellpunk definitely needs "feats", which I think I'm gonna call "abilities."
I also think I'll prototype some item-cards for quick inventory management.

So one hell of a weekend. Flat Tire, Cat Medical Emergency, and a as-yet unresolved dental emergency. Somehow I was able to run a playtest, but I've gotta take a day off of work tomorrow.

So I had a #playtest session last night for #spellpunk, and the #motorcycle combat rules were put to the test...and they PASSED. Spells and interesting ammunition were all used, all good fun was had.
The place system was intuitive and fast on the highway, though the Life Dice system needs conveyance
So Áine is enjoying a visit to the urgent vet, and turns out she needs an Xray.
Car rides with Áine are damn expensive
#cats #kitties #pets #fyp
So this is Áine, our beautiful, newly adult cat (she just turned 2)
Áine decided to start coughing today and we went on a "car ride" today.
I've had a helluva last 12 hours.

Its positioning really, but I did build that melee weapoms deal more damage to stationary and opposite-travel targets.
There's intentional design of bystander cars that can be used for cover, and rules for hijacking other vehicles and abandoning your own.
I think they're pretty good. Gotta test!
A drawing of Derek and Stiles cozied up together for an afternoon nap on Derek’s big, blue bed. They’re both still in their day clothes, each with different colored bunny socks on.
Sleepy cozy

Just wrote up some special rules for my #ttrpg, #spellpunk. Motorcycle combat! It covers all of the primary actions (and most of the crazier ones) one can do while engaging in fisticuffs on the highway.
It works so seemlessly with the ground combat rules, its like a match made on paper.
#awesome
Not quite on my media-schedule yet for #speelpunk, but I'm definitely making progress.
I've successfully drafted 2 pregen characters tonight, Jack the Wax and Sepia the College Kid Wizard.
I'll discuss these pregenerated characters in more detail later, when their #backstories are more set in stone.
So building the city of Vasiroy for #spellpunk is a bigger undertaking than I thought. I've already had to stop and start over two or three times. I'm so into #worldbuilding that I'm generating stories about which roads are named what as I go. Then I'm breaking neighborhoods down by era also.
Though its part of the #cyberpunk mythos that cyberpsychosis is a real danger in using cybernetics, I don't think I want to simplify it like that in #spellpunk. Essentially, I don't think that prosthetics should be demonized.
Mental health and community are still core to this #ttrpg. Thinking
So I'm back into #blender3d. Hopefully I can return to my old skill level and beyond so I can generate more aesthetics for my #ttrpg, #spellpunk. But its a skill that's gotten rusty.
Okay, for my #microfiction in my #spellpunk #ttrpg, I've got my "iconic" characters named ( though I haven't built them yet )
I'm going to build them out and use them as helpful examples in the rule book. I'll also have them as pre-generated characters in the back of the book, I think.
So I've just written up the Delver class for my #spellpunk #ttrpg, and I've gotta say, its pretty cool. I did a little of writing into the dark ( or #discoverywriting ) while creating the class.
I think I'm happy with it for the moment, but the content can change. The system is getting good depth.
So today, my #ttrpg goals need some more content. I'm going to start back up with #blender and try to design the lighting filters I'll need.
My first instinct, for #spellpunk is too ambitious, which is to create the "revcycle" in the editor. I think I'll start with the cell-phone equivalent instead.
You know your kid reads lots of SFF when:
9yo: Awww, look at the baby!
7yo: I saw the baby first.
9yo: Yeah, but I saw the face of the human... I mean THE MOTHER, holding the baby!

Today I'm cleaning up old rules and refining the verbiage of existing rules in my #ttrpg system, #spellpunk.
I've already created 1 high-detail combat map in #inkscape.
Hopefully I can keep my ambitious content creation schedule. Need to make sure I get to sleep early tonight. #selfcare
Was working on a skyline for the city in #spellpunk yesterday. #inkscape is my program of choice, so it feels like a good next move.
But today I'm going to pivot to making #location maps. I've got a six-lane highway made, and I'm going to create a certain tavern my players might be familiar with.

So I'm waiting for my first on-camera edit to render. I'm honestly nervous about how ramshackle my #videoedit is. I just started using #kdenlive so I'm also using a new tool.
Spellpunk logo with LL layered together like roadway. Neon-yellow foreground with neon-pink background.
Hey guys! Big announcement. I'm making a #ttrpg about wizards riding motorcycles in a dark dystopian cityscape where identity is defiance and individuality is rebellion. The powers that be don't need unique artists, they need cogs in their enchanted clockwork.

Finally got a logo so I can start posting my #TTRPG and begin the long process of marketing
So I'm getting used to be overwhelmed. What a thing to "get used to"?
#design ing my #ttrpg system, I've reached a point where its marketable to more than my fellow maths and ttrpg nerds, and it can provide a real narrative.
I've been frantically making a logo image so I can start the marketing.
Okay! on #ttrpg #playtest, Character gen, much much smoother! Much cleaner, but still playing with brand-new players.
Got some great feedback and information!
Wrote my new novel for an hour tonight.
In that time, I felt no anxiety or panic attacks.
It was just me and the page. Me and my imagination, hyper-focused on my story. I was free for a little while.
That’s the power of creativity. ♥️
So I have a gew candidate names for my #ttrpg setting which will be powered by my game system. I'll have a name, for good or ill, by the end of this week.
today I'm testing my character gen rules today and starting a test campaign. yap #playtesting.
#ttrpg is getting along far enough that I can start thinking of a name. I know the setting will be future #spellpunk type thing.
If you had made a ttrpg system, what would you name it?
Okay, I've got the basics of equipment settled in my #ttrpg. I'm looking at firearms and melee weapons, armor, and now I know I need to look at weapon-mods and accessories.
