My mum had 4 kids and has only been somewhat maternal with one of us and even then...

Absolutely and it's that sort of ridiculous and hurtful opinion that stops men from working with kids. In residential care only 10% of the hands on staff are men, in daycare it's lower and primary schools are the same. All children need positive role models of all genders.
Ah perfect, I was really curious what they were because they are more prominent now. That's really good to know, thank you!
Oh also, which patterns?
Thank you!! I am assuming it is based on what I've seen/read but I have no actual idea

On their filthy as fuck phones ๐คข it's usually women complaining about their cismale partners or asking 'is this normal' and half the replies are people doing worse things
Hahah, I've had this advert in my head ever since I started working on it!
An old (oak?) Table it's 100 years old and looks it - covered in marks, two big burn marks from pans are visible.
The same table with the big visible marks pretty much gone.
The table top deep clean and sort out is coming along nicely!
I often bake my own cake. My partner did make me one once and as he handed it to me I sai 'oh chocolate cake!', it was a carrot cake. So, I usually make them. Apart from my 40th - my friend made me one and my covid birthday when I bought a massive specially made one from Mimi's in Leith.

I completely agree
Yep working with children does the same. How anyone can think that it's reasonable for a child to go hungry, live in a cold/damp, without a bed etc. Just heartless, but that's the essence of the capitalist mindset - look after yourself and fuck the rest.
I don't follow any, I'm not even logged in! A lot are from relationship ones - usually people asking if their partners atrocious hygiene is normal.
Pretty much every time I go on reddit I'm horrified by people's lack of hygiene. Today has been people wearing pyjamas for a week and a man who doesn't wash his hands after picking up dog shit or wiping his arse. Last week it was people not washing behind their ears/bellybuttons.
Nope I'm saying I worked with children for 20 years
I caught a child with one hand, without looking, whilst putting my shoes, who was about to fall head first down steps.
I ran in front of a car to push a child out of the way.
I helped another kid I didn't know who I saw hit by a car until the paramedics arrived (the police were useless).
Haha oh that is amazing! Yeah teenage years are the best time to experiment
When I was 17 and heavily into dyeing my hair with no knowledge I accidently ended up looking like a weird Rogue from X-Men for a week. I put bleach on my hair that was already coloured in areas. I also some blonde roots and I have dark hair.
Yep, he was so tiny! I think he is 9 weeks old here
He used to love sitting on my shoulder!
I get that a lot as a generic brown haired white lady, haha!
If you see this, quote with a pic of you in glasses.
I also tried melting chocolate, coating the tin & putting the sponge back in. I didn't leave them to set long enough but those were so shiny and the detail looked great.
I painted the melted chocolate on with a pastry brush, I held each one gently by the sides & then laid them chocolate side up on a cooling rack. It's fairly messy so have a clean wet cloth close by to wipe your fingers as you go!
Ah thank you, I feel especially complimented because you are French!
Ah thank you!
A tiny filled with madeleines half covered in chocolate.
All ready for d&d, well the cakes are, me not so much!
Thank you!
