As a strange hybrid creature (at least as far as headmates go), yeah it's definitely interesting. Also consider that birds are sometimes preyed on by cats, so you've got a weird pred/prey thing but in the same body. Union of opposites!

My first at-home PC was this thing, which had one 5-inch floppy drive useable, because you had to use the other one to run DOS. :-D

(Bird headmate also hates it when anthro avians who are 100% bird with no cat still sometimes are drawn with gryphon-style feathery ears.)

From a quick poke at heraldry stuff, gryphons seem to be associated with strength and power, combining a predator of sky and of land.

Not entirely sure if that translates to more modern furry gryphons, where they're just a silly bird-cat.

I built the Villa Straylight (from Neuromancer) on FurryMUCK one time, with multiple rooms as described in the novel! Weirdly enough at some point saved an archive command stream, so it's also been remade somewhere on PFMuck/Puzzlebox. :-)

Goooood. I've got their cuffs, very nice to wear! My dragon got a set and I've been wearing them on my ankles 24/7 for most of this year.

Oh yeah, I couldn't do it either, but it'd be an easier (and cheaper) fix than having a whole bespoke garment. :-)

I've drawn my own maps of MUCKs in the past, especially for areas I was building myself. There's something wonderful and abstract about a map of nodes that are only loosely tied together in a Euclidean way...or ones that aren't. Made a few that definitely weren't. :-)
