On this day in 2015 Raymond Carr passed away.
He was a famous historian who specialised in writing about Spain and Latin America. He won an award in 1983 from the Spanish king for his work.

It tells the real story of the Osage Indian Murders in Oklahoma in 1918-31.
The book was a best seller and in 2023 got a film adaptation.

He is best known for writing books such as ‘About a Boy’ and ‘High Fidelity’.
