Truly they will hit the ground running taking on this new AI venture! Folks,
I maintain that among the media's biggest mistakes has been continuing to ask Trump questions as if he's a normal guy instead of asking things like "Can you explain who Jesus is" or "Describe the process of pumping gas"
Iβm just mad that Mr. Banks left those placeholder first-draft-ass LYRICS in there, am I right? Folks,
Speaking from experience I have been in bands that have put songs out in the world with some absolute clunkers for titles β the band practice working titles really were fine in retrospect
Knee-jerk reaction #1: "Steve chose violence this morning"
Knee-jerk reaction #2: "I have never felt more 'mid-forties' in my entire goddamned life"
Was just thinking of this one -- group of Iranian girls trying to get into a soccer match where women are not allowed, correct?
Abby and Ashley were very fun, this rocked

That's fair, but I think the point is that despite that -- for most folks -- it's harder to take a chance on a car like a Prelude when it's harder to afford a new car broadly speaking.
I since took a different position with a significant pay cut -- $75K is still nothing to sneeze at and I am luckier than most, but I couldn't afford the new car payments or insurance. Goodbye Integra, hello 20-year-old Accord.
So for me, no new car is in the cards anytime soon, let alone a Prelude.
I mean, I think it's more than vibes -- this is purely anecdotal/personal experience, but not so long ago, I actually made just over that median household income figure, and for ~14 glorious months I paid for my first new car, a 6MT Integra. Loved it.
Ehhhh, in a vacuum, I get it, but in 1999 I think overall COL was lower -- rents/mortgages were proportionally lower compared to wages, your only subscriptions were basically magazines (remember those?) and cable, etc. etc. etc.
Your 1999 $1K rent payment is now $2500 -- doesn't keep up w/ wages
Like if Iβm choosing between the two? Cedric by a mile
(Wish I didn't have to know this firsthand, but Lowell General also has free parking. So that's nice.)
Two things:
1) sorry about your nads, hopefully they feel more normal/ignorable soon.
2) went to Emerson a bunch during my childhood, one of my aging parents went there quite a bit but it's become increasingly stressful to go in and be seen lately. Lowell General is typically their chosen move now.
A grim and worthwhile read.
Hard fucking no
Oh how I miss that glorious 240p webcam rn

Some cool personal/musical news: My old Houndrunner bandmate, Chad -- who is a maniac -- went and got our 2007 album remixed and remastered by @gse.bsky.social and @matthewbarnhart.bsky.social, and it sounds pretty goddamn great. Please listen and enjoy!

Watched the C's on NBCSB last night and I very much enjoyed Drew Carter's not-so-subtle "heat culture" quips lmao
