‘People still remember it 40 years later’: the making of Chuckie Egg The iconic game that came to define 8-bit programming still conjures flutters of nostalgia 40 years on – all thanks to a 15-year-old tea boy who worked a Saturday shift in a computer shop in Greater M...

Hi I wrote about the making of classic platformerChuckie Egg and talked to its creator Nigel Alderton. Please give it a read as I want to show there’s an audience for this gaming history stuff 🙏

Yup! That’d be me too. Never let it go until they’ve taken responsibility & sorted it.
Good luck, tomorrow! 🙏

Surely, they have a duty to source another installer as it was their error?

…if that’s the truth, of course. Perhaps they’ve not got sufficient stocks of the kitchen…

That sort of stuff makes my teeth itch!😡

Agree that we’ll have to make do for now.

I think Ospreys will do what they usually do & try to beat us up front & run direct either side of the 10 channel - Jac will be a huge threat at the breakdown.
If we’re not competitive enough up front, we could struggle.

How did he do the thumb? It seemed such an innocuous incident but looked horrible!

I’ll get honest, Ben Thomas a talented footballing rugby player, but I genuinely have no idea where it is best for Cardiff to play him. He got caught for pace on the outside at 13 at the weekend.
Be interested to hear if people think Grady at 13 is still worth looking at?

If this sequence was filmed live, & we could’ve heard what he was thinking prior to each move, I reckon there were a few exasperated expletives in there…

To be fair, Plumtree is an exceptional talent when it comes to receiving yellow cards.

This is such an excellent explanation of why so many of us have become frustrated with the media (especially mainstream).

In the UK you could substitute all the political leaders instead of the word, ‘President’… some far more frequently than others…

How lacking in self awareness do you have to be to not consider that you might be the problem when EVERYONE is falling out with you?

Paul Robeson, singing with a Welsh choir in The Proud Valley (1940). 🎬
The American bass-baritone was born in Princeton, New Jersey, on this day in 1898.
A strong supporter of workers’ rights, he formed a lasting bond with the mining communities during filming in Wales.

All you’ve got to hope, is that Karl Dickson continues to give try scoring tips to backrow players 5 metres out from the tryline. At least be consistent about it 🤷‍♂️

100% this.
Within the first few sentences, the crucial stuff that’s ’conveniently’ omitted is obvious.
You’d hope an editor worth their salt would call it out prior to publication.
