The turnout in small towns across the country has been incredible drawing crowds of thousands. We’re already seeing over one million in attendance nationwide, and events are still underway. Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Ohio all had especially surprising showings.

I want to tell you why the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia should matter to you.

The one power you cannot give the executive is the ability to imprison or expel anyone regardless of their legal rights. That is our key check against autocracy. And we are watching it disappear.

Undocumented immigrants paid an effective federal income tax rate of 5.27% in 2022.

That means they paid a higher effective tax rate than 5 of the richest Americans…and a higher effective tax rate than 55 mega corporations.

So let me ask you: who are the real freeloaders?

Wilmer only found out his son had been detained after receiving a phone call on March 15 from his nephew, Luis, who lives with them. An ICE kidnapper who grabbed him outside his house said, "He's not the one."

The other said, "Take him anyway."

So they did.

Not a single word to help the 33m small businesses in this country. Not from anyone in the administration.

So many buy from China, and don't have alternatives.

So many didn't have the cash to front run the tariffs and buy inventory

I still don’t understand how wiping out the middle class helps billionaires. They need us to buy their products

Millions of people took to the streets yesterday to send a message to the world that we do not consent to the destruction of our government and our economy for the benefit of Trump and his billionaire allies. Even during these dark days, remember that you are not alone. Solidarity.

There are 33m companies in the USA. Only 21k employe 500 or more. And they only make up 23% of workers.

Trump and Elon are ignoring the more than 32m entrepreneurs that can't afford to build a new factory or pay tariffs or absorb cancelled contracts.

I think there is going to be a Red Rural Recession and soon if all the cuts continue as is

All the firings, cancelling of grants and contracts with companies , the closing of offices, disproportionately impact small towns, cities and states.
