i swear people think companies just let engineers commit directly to main and push to prod

they deserve to be criticized and they do not deserve the benefit of the doubt regarding the combination of emphasis on AI use combined with their recent downtimes. i just don't like the way this OP is framing this, that's all
my point is that not everyone knows that they are outspoken users of AI coding here. seeing a bug and saying "this is vibecoded" without providing your audience that context is not doing the profession any favors
to jump to then saying "it was because of vibecoding" is missing out on important context and reinforcing the idea that buggy software implies vibecoding. not the other way around
but that's what it is. an assumption. claiming it as fact with no proof is a slippery slope. to make that assumption is to be in tune with what the bsky team has said - a lot of people aren't.
sure you can make fun of the
"we all use Claude Code here"
*site immediately catches fire*
but the consistent "software bug = vibecoded" is getting really. really tiring.
if my plugin crashes the game i don't want to be accused of "vibecoding" it
when chronofoil goes down for maintenance or a deploy and you get a transient "failed to upload" error for a few minutes, i don't want people to jump to "oh it must be vibecoded because it's not working"
just for reference there is absolutely nothing in either post that proves the bug was due to "vibe coding"
this is a perfectly reasonable bug and something that many people could (and likely did!) miss.
just because there is a bug in software does not mean it was because of AI use
passkey is imho one of the most important security developments that touch consumers and also one of the worst consumer rollouts i ever witnessed because every company involved treats everything like an enterprise customer solution

4.8 billion packets we ain't making it out of the uint32 with this one
i want to meet many oomfs at fanfest... !!
there's a capture from right before dawntrail release with 5.5 million packets in one capture. that is 6.7% of the entirety of 6.58x2 packets in one capture
yeah they're not forced to use webkit and they can allow extensions, which apple don't like
i tried using an iphone for a bit but one thing i sorely missed was my firefox mobile with ublock
i just ran a query and
chronofoil has captured 4.8 billion packets since its release almost two years ago
that is 60gb of highly compressed packet data and about 50,000 individual captures
interestingly enough, 7.05x2 was the most captured version at almost 620m packets
not sure who said that but i think they're right as hell
i'm so sorry :(
like even if they had a good point that's such a disgusting thing to say. it's so fucking sick and tiring and the worst part is there is no reasoning with people who think like this
that person pointed out in that thread that it's likely it's a spam network because there are tons of accounts spam posting the same thing and another person like this just gave a condescending projecting remark like "so you think palestinians can't use the internet??? because they're brown???"
line stickers are so peak i made a bot to rip them into telegram from line lmfao
