If you want to read more about the best days for releasing music 👉 tinyurl.com/ReleaseDays

Releasing on less-busy-than-Fridays days could give you more attention from curators and fans alike – less releasing competition, more visibility. You'll never know unless you test it out, track the results, and find out over time.

💡 #Fridays may be the go-to release day, but that doesn’t mean they're always the best option. If you want to stand out in the crowded music world, consider experimenting with alternative days – it may actually give your release more undistracted attention.

When you click on a playlist under a curator profile, a pop-up will show more details, and you’ll see the SIMILAR PLAYLISTS button there, right under the Spotify button. Hit that, and you’ll get a list of playlists with similar vibes and the percentage of artist overlap ✔️

💡 A nifty little feature we have is our SIMILAR PLAYLISTS button – ever tried it?

If you’ve found a playlist on SubmitHub, whether by browsing the list of curators or trying our playlist checker, and it feels perfect for your tune, there’s an easy way to find more like it! 🧵👇

Plus, picking the right day – ideally 2-4 weeks before release or, if you prefer it, around release day – helps, too, especially if you avoid Fridays, when curators are swamped with new releases.

A little planning goes a long way in getting your song the attention it deserves 💡

Choosing the first batch of outlets and scheduling submissions ensures you're not sending too soon (curators rarely prefer getting a song 4 months in advance – it just lingers in their to-be-shared queue).

If your tune is set for release, getting ready & scheduling a campaign early can be a game-changer. When it's fresh, you know the most about it – its story, sound, fit – making it easier to write a good About, pick the curators & pitch effectively without last-minute scrambling.

⏳ Timing can make all the difference when sending your music to curators ⏳

Instead of rushing to submit the moment your song is released, why not try scheduling strategically? It’s not just about catching curators at the right moment – it’s about planning ahead 🗓️

📈 And lastly, if other curators in a given genre grow (get more engaged), a curator who doesn't will see their Engagement score go down 📉

The same works the other way, too – if a curator has a highly engaged playlist in one genre but shares (much) more in a smaller, less engaged playlist of a different genre, their Engagement score for the stronger genre will start to drop.

They’re relative to other curators within the same genre(s) and to where the curator is sharing as well. A curator’s score will be much higher for songs in a genre where they have a more engaged playlist, and even more so if they share there often 📊

Have you noticed that a curator's #Engagement score can change – depending on your song and even the day? Do you know why that is? 🤔

The truth is, Engagement scores aren’t fixed numbers 💡🧵👇

Won't argue with you & understand you're feeling negative about your results, but usually, it's the competitiveness of the song or the targeting. Submitting is competitive and not for everyone – we try very hard to give you other options if it doesn't work for you. Nobody's pushing you to submit 🙌

That's not allowed or possible on our website, we have many systems in place & also manually control all curators (the full circle takes about a month and a half, and starts over). While we understand your frustration of not being accepted, there is no scripts or AI or pasting happening or possible.

Not sure what you mean by "they use AI to auto check your song to check a box"... we don't do that? 😅

Glad you enjoy HoN and chats, so if playlisting doesn't work for you, there's always other features you can use to promote your music (plus ads, where nobody will decline you, of course) 🙌

Imagine something like: “Great blog post, but the font choice lacks emotion”, or “Nice playlist, but track 3 doesn’t vibe with track 4. Please rethink your curation strategy.”

Artists, it’s your time to shine – or is it? 😉 #AprilFools

🚨 Breaking news! Starting today, SubmitHub will feature a "Reverse Feedback" option. Instead of curators critiquing your music, you’ll critique their outlet quality! 😅

AND! These charts aren’t just for artists. Many curators use them to discover new tracks for their playlists or blogs, meaning your song could catch their attention – no submission needed 🔍 (Around 100 songs are picked up for free like this EACH DAY 🤯)

You’ll also find the points = score for your recent release(s) highlighted right at the top of a genre you've filtered by (and is applicable for that track) – a quick way to see how it’s doing 💡

Curious about how your tune is stacking up against others? 👀📊

Our #PopularCharts offer more than just bragging rights, they’re a useful tool for tracking how your music is resonating across genres or within your specific genre/country (use the filters to narrow it down).

“For fans of Arctic Monkeys” can work wonders in social posts or ads, grabbing attention & calling to action more than a generic “great indie rock song.” When you know who you sound like, you can draw from (not copy) their branding, communication, and ways of engaging their fans.

Well, it’s important info to have 💡 Knowing who your music aligns with can help you target curators better (we recommend adding at least 3 similar artists to your song upload every time) 🎯 Plus, it can give you a clearer direction when promoting your music beyond SubmitHub 📈
