Just realized I haven’t shared the last few pics of spawn here. How dare I.

This rain seriously needs to stop.

Since we can’t do much today for spring break thanks to this weather, having lunch with spawn.
Any guesses where we are?

Just asked spawn if he knew who The Undertaker was.
His response: one of the guys that fought Mick Foley.
That is the ONLY thing he knows about ‘Taker (and honestly, given the man’s apparent political views, I’m ok with this)

Made the boy go walking with me today to homemade pie & ice cream kitchen today. Once I let him share my headphones, he didn’t mind the walk as much ;)
Of course, the reward of ice cream for him (lemon meringue pie for me & cookies to bring home) helped too

It’s that time of year again

I cannot believe this child is 14 today.
Where the heck did time go?

Walked up to Bearnos for dinner last night because… why not. (Yes it was cold outside. Yes I forgot my hat. Yes, the pizza was worth it)

Excuse me, Mother Nature. What is THIS shit??

Spawn and I went to eat at YummyBowl again. He much preferred what he got today to what he got last time. (First pic is his food; last pic is mine)

How does my son know I love him? I make a run to Kroger after work (dealing with the yucky weather and even worse local drivers) to buy pizza stuff bc he decided he wanted pizza … tonight.

Actually had a family dinner out (first time in a LONG time) with all of us. 3 guesses where we went.

Today’s theme - careers (career they want, career they respect, o random career). His choice - mechanic (why he grabbed a screwdriver, I don’t know)

Yesterday was “decades” day at school for spawn.
Here’s what he went with (pity we don’t have combat boots for him)

Met up with friends for lunch. Was good.

Apparently it’s the 100th day of school so spawn could dress up as “an old person”. He borrowed one of my dad’s old shirts, a cane from mom, and the sibling dig up a pith helmet that the boy decided to wear.

It’s a new Mongolian grill (kinda like BD’s was) that opened recently. They also do sushi and ramen, I think … it’s in the same little strip as Chuck E Cheese

The boy and I decided to check out Yummy Bowl over on Hurstbourne last night. Was pretty good, though I miss being able to get more than one bowl.
Spawn got chicken tenders, but next time, he’s doing a build your own bowl :)
(And I need to get better at stacking my ingredients)

We keep getting ice more than snow (tho last week we ended up with … like a total of 10” of snow … and ice). I’m over it now.

I just went thru that; realized we were almost out of milk and bread and all I could do was sigh at my dumb bc roads are likely gonna ice over again

The downside to trying to make a full recipe of meatballs in my tiny kitchen - I have no room (total of 84 meatballs made; two taste-tested, and … yum)

And yes, I dragged spawn into helping
