Quick and Meaningless Data Collection Help me collect some data to use for student examples! The questions on geographic region and gender will only be used for subsetting the data, not for student analysis. No questions are required -…

I NEED HELP!

Please take this quick, meaningless 19 question survey so I can get data for my students to learn stats!

I did a similar version a few months ago but missed an important question type. Even if you did the old one, please do it again!

Please circulate widely!

“That’s all anybody can do right now. Live. Hold out. Survive. I don’t know whether good times are coming back again. But I know that won’t matter if we don’t survive these times.”

he showed up to a mostly empty auditorium, got heckled by anti war protesters opposing the war he just humiliatingly failed to negotiate an end to, erika kirk stood him up, and he tried to explain catholicism to the pope. the only way he could’ve had a worse time is if he pissed his pants up there.

Library was my second home. I would spend hours there reading.

I haven't been to a library for more than a few minutes since my early 20s and I would miss it if not for the fact that I dont leave the house much for other reasons.

You know what I found thanks to the library? Elfquest.

That's not porn, but its way more adult than one expects a comic to be, and it definitely woke things inside me.

Hey, if anything needs and update and reform/reappraisal, its the Belgariad.

I've also seen Silk/Kheldar art that has been racebent, so I'm thoroughly down for this.

I love this detail. I've enjoyed Gina since Firefly, but didn't realize that's what I was responding to.

Now I want the Ultimate Nick Fury phenomenon where The Belgariad gets turned into a series and Gina Torres gets cast as Polgara.

Thank you for your words. They are helping me shape my own, as a person essay on Eddings has been on the brain for a while in the wake of other creators that have fallen from grace.

I'm mostly stunned that Ayanna Pressley, Robert Reich and Lina Khan are as low as they are while Schumer and Jeffries are in the top 50. Al Franken clearly getting a boost from being in The Residence.

this is why it's vital to loudly and publicly support trans women and push back against these narratives. it is imperative that we not let the loudest voice be this stupid cunt

I love Steve Windwood in general, but unfortunately, Valerie is also now forever tied to Eric Prydz and his homage to the movie Perfect. 😅

Goldman Sachs reports that 300 million full-time jobs could be replaced by AI by 2030. Labor turnover is high and hiring has slowed. 71% of Americans worry that AI will cause permanent job loss. As young people about to enter the workforce for the first time, the fear of unemployment is understandable, but we cannot save ourselves with the very tool that is putting us at risk.

The irony is that as Penn pours endless money and energy into AI advancement in its attempt to get ahead, the University is only quickening its own demise. AI cannot coexist with education — it can only degrade it. As technology advances and workers are replaced by machines, schools are some of the only places we have left to explore and wrestle with human thought. With our own university leading the charge, AI is now corrupting those few sacred spaces and leaving us with nowhere to engage in true scholarship.

Editorials represent the majority view of members of The Daily Pennsylvanian Editorial Board who meet regularly to discuss issues relevant to the Penn community. An unaccounted for part of the economy is how much young people virulently hate AI, despite how aggressively it's being forced on them. They realize it's making their friends dumber and ruining the world and they want nothing to do with it.

Confronting the CEO of the AI company that impersonated me Superhuman CEO Shishir Mehrotra responds to the Grammarly “expert review” controversy, and whether AI is extracting more value than it creates.

This interview is wild. The CEO being interviewed cannot conceive of a world where their right to profit does not come first. www.theverge.com/podcast/8987...
