This is not the first time russians have targeted the apartments of Ukrainian figures in defence, science, and culture at night using Shahed drones.
For the first time in the world, the Ukrainian army has destroyed a Shahed drone from a surface (naval) platform. This was carried out by specialists from the Nemesis Brigade.
On the night of April 19, Ukraine’s military intelligence (HUR) struck two large russian landing ships in Crimea - “Yamal” and “Nikolay Filchenkov”, and also destroyed an enemy radar station “Podlyot-K1.”
Rescuers from the “Phoenix” evacuation group evacuated four more people from Druzhkivka on April 18. In total, 174 people were evacuated from frontline settlements over the past 24 hours.

russia is preparing a new ground offensive in southeastern Ukraine, deploying its strategic reserves to reinforce its forces in the country with an additional 20,000 troops.
With around 680,000 troops currently on Ukrainian territory, russia aims to seize the entire Donbas by September.
Over the past 24 hours, in the relative rear areas of Ukraine, russia killed four people in Dnipro, nine in Odesa, and four in Kyiv.
My sincere condolences to the families of the victims.
In Odesa, eight people are known to have been killed as a result of a russian overnight attack, and another 16 were injured.
Five people were killed in Kyiv.
Among them was a child.
Almost every attack, russian forces kill children.
At least 48 people were injured, including a 9-year-old boy, three police officers, and four medics who had arrived to provide assistance.

Ukrainian drone units destroyed a russian Palantin electronic warfare system, identified and struck elements of an S-300V system, including a launcher and a multi-channel missile guidance radar.

Russia killed a civilian man in Nikopol during a drone attack on April 4, 2026.
His daughter shared that her father died in the strike. Now, an 11-year-old girl is left without parents, her mother had already passed away.
Nikopol is shelled and attacked regularly.
