The 'y' in Hyrugan adds a bit of otherworldliness that I like. Also helps 'Yrugan' is yet another spelling of Iruene
I guess I just worried people would see Hyruga-n and assume he's a Japanese character lol
That all being said, I'm still attached to the name Hyrugan cause it echoes his nickname, Hydro
Also, Hydro will always be his nickname, not to worry haha. it's nice and easy to remember, so I'm keeping it
It's a one letter difference but I think it makes a big change
Fun fact, the names Hyrugan/Hirugan are based off a demon from La Gomera, Hirguan. Hirguan is most likely an alt spelling of Iruene/Guayota, the maligant diety of the islands (& father of all tibicenas, like Hydro!)
Maybe thinking of renaming my fursona... again!
His current actual lore name is Hyrugan, but I think this is a bit too Japanese-sounding for my tastes and it isn't evocative of his Guanche/ancient Canary Islands heritage.
Maybe 'Hirugan' sounds better?
