I live in Mexico so I'm coming at it from that point of view. People in the USA tend to glorify her - she's a woman, she's Jewish, she has a PhD - but they don't see beyond that. They don't understand Mexican style political corruption.

Don't compare Mexico with the USA as if they are the same. There are as many complex reasons as to why Sheinbaum won as there are to why Harris lost. Sheinbaum is more popular in the US than she is in Mexico.

I'm critiquing her fashion sense, not her body, juxtaposed by her reputation as style expert. She's had that "iconic" look her whole career, not just as an older woman, largely characterized by arrogance + condescension. How about not tearing into other women's posts in such a mean-spirited way.

I am also a lifelong New Yorker, a Manhattanite. I go to the Met frequently and usually pay about $10 because anything less than that would be disrespectful of the institution imho. Yes, I can see we have different views regarding ethics.
Not true. The fundraiser only raises money for the Costume Institute part of the museum. And New Yorkers do pay for entrance, but it's "as you wish." It would be unethical for Mamdani to support a Bezos involved event that celebrates nimiety.
