Lolz first-hand experience. I was injured in Havana and they didn’t have sanitizing cream/liquid (eg alcohol), no sutures, or pain medications. The power went out when I was in the clinic and the nurse expected a tip/lunch… I am far from the only one that has experienced something like this

💯 department chairs and t&p committees need to be immediately be extremely transparent with assistant professors. Maybe even saying to focus on publications and service instead of grants would be a big step. I’m worried, however, that it won’t happen
