Those submitted are splendid, sparkling, and sometimes slightly starling, still Series Four salivates steadily for supplementation.
Mooning for a myriad of one hundred word marvels, may they be methods, machines, molecules, moonshots, misadventures, or mutations meant never materialise.
Posts by Satellite 9
File your pSuedoscience, amuse the journals, and help stabilise Volume Four before time wanders off again. Failure invites reviewers from parallel timelines carrying footnotes, biscuits, paradoxes, reminders, whistles, schedules, politely late.
The safest containment unit remains exactly one hundred words, no more, no fewer, or science gets tetchy. Titles may hover briefly above, sensibly short. Delay breeds chrono-mould, which eats ideas overnight. Act now, before tomorrow reclassifies itself as theoretical.
Temporal Notice: Submit Your Drabbles by 17 April
Editors report a deadline anomaly approaching fast.
On seventeen April, the submission window collapses with a neat pop. To prevent loss of brilliance, contributors must send drabbles immediately to pScience@nine.satelliteX.org.uk.

Take care, be vigilant, and Happy April Fools Day.
We have not seen Goa’uld in residence, but ask all members to take care and watch out for signs of symbiote infestation:
* Glowing eyes
* Sudden deepening of the voice
* Questionable dress sense
* Displaying of megalomaniacal tendencies
If spotted please report to your nearest stargate for evac.
View looking straight up at a large, set concentric illuminated rings projecting from the ceiling. The bright circular lights create a tunnel-like effect. They look like the Goa'uld transport devices.
**Important Hotel Update**
The recent visit revealed what we believe to be a ring transporter - the chosen method of ship to surface transport for the Goa’uld.
They may have been drawn to our venue due to rumours of the Frost Giant presence and wishing to eliminate any threats to their power base.
A poster titled “Duck‑off!” in large red text. Below the title are two yellow rubber ducks facing each other. Each duck has a painted shield design on its side featuring stylised runes: the left duck has three blue‑on‑grey runes, and the right duck has four green‑and‑red runes. Beneath the ducks, the text reads: “Take the Ultimate Warrior Challenge!” in black and blue, followed by “Defeat your Foe with our Battling Viking Long‑Ducks!” in red and blue. The poster has a blue border.
Satellite 9 is going to @easterconuk.bsky.social!
Swing by our fan table to meet mascots Uranus (Uri) and Neptune (Nep), chat all things Frost Giant with our committee, or take on the infamous 'Duck Off' or try the single‑player chaos of 'Go Duck Yourself.'
Who will we see there?
Book cover for The Packet by Neil Williamson. A steamship struggling through stormy seas. Lightning and crashing waves. Strange purple lights below the waterline.

A conference room with patterned carpet, taupe walls, and tall windows showing an evening sky. The planet Neptune, in the form of a plush blue character toy sits on an orange upholstered chair in the foreground listening intently while the planet Neptune, also a plush toy, is positioned atop a clear acrylic lectern near the window. Neptune is practicing its opening ceremony speech. The lectern has circular illuminated rings around its middle. Wall sconces with decorative metalwork provide warm lighting around the room.
As you can see from Nep's wrapt attention as Uri practices their opening ceremony remarks, Satellite 9's programme preparation is well underway, and we are going to be bringing you a brilliant weekend of Science Fiction, Science Fact and Science fun.
Two red armchairs sit on either side of a small black round table, with a dark stool underneath it. Each chair has a small blue plush toy placed on the seat. one is the planet Neptune on the left and the other is the planet Uranus. The setting appears to be an indoor lounge area with tiled flooring and a railing in the background.
Reminder to all planning your travels that our hotel block and booking is open.
Some of the committee went for a visit last week and really enjoyed the spaces and facilities: Uri and Nep found the seating to their liking.
