Also by no means would Rich disagree with any of this, he and I were referencing those fans who might have thought it was too cold with the game on TV. No one’s right or wrong but all good points to consider and I know that other clubs are seeing midweek attendance reduce since the deal as well
I think the club is one of the better ones for pricing of games but we all know that with mid week comes almost unavoidable costs as people come straight from work and need something to eat where as on Saturday you can work around that
Now with excellent lighting and four sided stadium there are no shadows in the stands until the game kicks off. In the old Vic with different stands and terraces night games felt like the gaps were lessened.
I think I mentioned the logistical issues and indeed work issues that midweek games present - but for shift workers especially, you’re absolutely right, attendance can be impossible. It is an interesting trend though because night games used to be when gaps in the crowd were less noticable
