If you live in that area, I'm envious. There's no lack of French cheeses in our area (Kichijoji) but a lack of willingness to pay for them at today's prices.

The IMA brand of cheeses from Tochigi are quite good, and much cheaper than their French equivalents. I have only seen them in Kinokuniya supermarkets (the 路面店, not the smaller shops) but they must be available elsewhere, too.
