This is the same political trope, incidentally, as Foetal Alcohol Sydrome and also the 1980s crack war panic over crack babies which, alongside AIDS and the demonisation of Welfare Queens, were ideologically instrumental in the institution of the New Right
by constructing it as a disaster that is preventable through women’s moral choices around drug use (ie tylenol).
Among the many dangerous aspects of a the Trump-Kennedy announcements about #Tylenol during pregnancy - not least its disregard of scientifc evidence - one of the most interesting ive heard is that it effectively disparages the validity of autism as a way of being in the world (neurodivergently)
And that all people living with HIV have equally proactive access to the antiretroviral therapies they need for their lives to continue using that same mode of delivery #injectables or daily oral @unaids.org
Post #PEPFAR, DEMAND injectable #Lenacapavir is proactively made easily accessible to all members of key populations affected by #HiV - gay & other men who have sex with men, transgender & other women, people who inject drugs, migrants & incarcerated peoples -‘GLOBALLY. NOW.
