If I lived in London I would go to this concert featuring superstars of the Irish weirdo music scene.

Martian leader shortly before the events of War Of The Worlds:
I think I would want links to their allegedly odious posts or allegedly odious posts they have linked before delivering a judgement upon them.

Mrs Chippy the Magnificent!
I'm making one last push to let people know about this online talk -- sponsored by the British Library in conjunction with their current exhibition on fairy tales. The live stream starts at 7:30 tonight, but if you buy a ticket *before* the event you can watch it any time over the next 7 days.
I was thinking about that line about all political careers ending in failure, and I wonder if it only really applies to prime ministers. You can have people with successful ministerial careers who eventually just retire and say "Well that's my work done".
A scan of the front page of a tabloid newspaper, the Irish Daily Star. The headline is "Useless Gobshites" in all caps, which is joined with a picture of the Taoiseach (Irish prime minister) and some members of his cabinet. The subhead says "Government in meltdown but still they cling to power"
there was this memorable 2010 front page of the Irish Daily Star, which had real "Can you say that?" value.
The least these articles can do is acknowledge that they just sound like Ween
Typical AI slop, can't even roar properly.
It is sad to think that AI is now putting lions out of work.
I went to the cinema the other day and saw some new Amazon-related iteration of the MGM lion beforehand... except the lion now looks suspiciously like an AI lion rather than a real lion.

It is a shame because there are some Bollywooders that I think would attract a wider audience, and not just from people who like singing and dancing. I'm thinking in particular of Vishal Bhardwaj's superb Othello-adaptation Omkara, but I'm sure there must be more out there like that.
It might in fairness be that the skinflint cinemas/distributors do not stage press screenings.
It annoys me that Bollywood films get shown on Dublin screens but none of our film critics bother their arse to review them.
Viktor Orban accomplished so much of what the Trump movement wants to accomplish here
he ruled for 16 years and rewrote the rules in his favor
and still, they threw him out
and you know what? they did it by voting
don’t let anyone tell you voting doesn’t matter
THE DALAI LAMA IS WEAK ON MONETARY POLICY.
Viktor Orban? More like Loser Orban amirite?
Farewell Asha Bhosle. This isn't her in the video, but it is her on the soundtrack.

The photos are from yesterday. Apparently the street was cleared this morning.
Remember when Yvette Cooper was going on about how she was always hanging the George's Cross flag all over her house?
Protests against high fuel prices on Dublin's O'Connell Street. There are tractors. And flags. And signs. And flags.

I'll direct message you.
Does anyone know how many people are involved in the fuel protests? There aren't that many vehicles blocking O'Connell Street in Dublin... they're just very big.
I'm a bit wary of saying because it is a big spoiler. Film does not start off even remotely suggesting that it will end with human extinction.
I saw a film this afternoon that ended with everyone in the world instantly dying. My first thought was "But what will happen to all their pets?"
I’ll never forget listening to The Case of Charles Dexter Ward on my way home on New Year’s Day 2020 in preparation for Whisperer in Darkness. It really gripped me as I sped through the winter gloom.
Lost count of the how many times I’ve listened since! Glad they’re back!
