psa for anyone adding mcps to their claude setup: the context limits are rough
been watching my code chats get squished faster than i can type
found out the hard way after losing 3 hours of debugging context in the middle of a convo
i don't want to get rich...
i want to:
- work on my own products
- build things people use
- own my time
- enjoy my family
- go for runs and bike rides
- play drums
i people crushing 50k mrr while i'm chasing 5k.
if your only metric is revenue, you're missing the point.
the hardest part of indie hacking isnt the code
its getting people to actually pay for it
most of us spend 80% on building and 20% on the stuff that matters
distribution monetization selling
we focus on the wrong 20%
why are people still burning money on ads when creators in your niche will literally help you build the thing AND put it in front of exactly the people who need it
unpopular opinion: opus in cursor still beats claude code
something about planning first then executing just hits different with opus in cursor
on the other hand, haven't slammed into usage limits like cursor in claude max
genuinely confused why nobody's talking about this
forget the "10x your revenue" goals
my 2026 plan: ship one small thing every week
that's all
not much else to it
feels about right
Let’s see what happens. 🚀
Have you ever gotten stuck in the "build but never launch" loop? What helped you break out of it?
Instead of building first, I’m starting with:
✅ A landing page + waitlist
✅ Following @jeannen.com copy crash course
Forcing myself to go deeper into the customer’s pains before writing a single line of code.
Tried twice to build the product.
Launched nothing.
Doubts → procrastination → convincing myself I couldn’t do it.
This time, I’m flipping the approach.
