Ha! Mine was the same way. Despite being completely zonked from the anesthetic, I still managed to leave a very … interesting (but positive!) review of the clinic.

So, in short - artists, if you’ve noticed that your lineart is wobbly after switching to an iPad, it is NOT you. It’s your hardware.

If it bothers you, crank up the stabilizer to >=25% in app settings. Here’s ProCreate as an example.

The advantage with AES is that the setup can be entirely wireless, and allows for a sleek look. The downfall is that it causes wobble and jitter, even when your hand is perfectly steady. Also, watch out for a buildup of static! This can cause your lines to appear “frayed”.

Wacom tablets use electromagnetic resonance (EMR), while Apple pencils use active electrostatic (AES).

When I started using an iPad for art recently (after using a Wacom for 10+ years) I thought I had suddenly forgotten how to draw smooth lineart, and was kicking myself.
