honestly i’m really struggling with the shallow acceptance of the michael biopic. from peers even!!!! i feel insane.

And for the record, I hope DOOMSDAY is good! I loved most of Marvel through ENDGAME. Some of my favorite memories are seeing these with my son on opening night.

But the anticipatory flop sweat is really showing.

Between this, bringing back Downey and Evans, and introducing "Infinity Vision," you can almost spell Disney's panic and desperation. They need Doomsday to work or that Marvel plan needs to get leaner and cheaper in the future.

You can't retroactively add material to a six-year-old movie and then tell us it's critical. If it was important, it would have been in there. And if you were a good filmmaker, you'd find a way just to incorporate it into the new story it supposedly points to.

I misread the headline as one movie and got very excited for a moment…

Of course he's a doctor. He's holding the flashlight he thought would cure covid if you shined it up your ass.

JD Vance visited the pope, who died.
He went to negotiate peace in Iran. He failed.
He stumped for Orban, who lost.
He wrote a book out about becoming Catholic; now, his boss attacked the pope and posted pics of himself as Jesus.
It's ALMOST enough to make you feel bad for him.
Almost.

And in six months it will be, "Well, it wasn't really a picture of him as Jesus anyway," and then in a year, "Are we really sure it isn't the second coming?"
