I really enjoyed the trailer, but kind of hate that Warner Brothers still gets to have their logo on this.

But he never paid for drugs. Not once.
I imagine he'd look a lot like Guy Incognito
honestly i’m really struggling with the shallow acceptance of the michael biopic. from peers even!!!! i feel insane.
And for the record, I hope DOOMSDAY is good! I loved most of Marvel through ENDGAME. Some of my favorite memories are seeing these with my son on opening night.
But the anticipatory flop sweat is really showing.
Between this, bringing back Downey and Evans, and introducing "Infinity Vision," you can almost spell Disney's panic and desperation. They need Doomsday to work or that Marvel plan needs to get leaner and cheaper in the future.
You can't retroactively add material to a six-year-old movie and then tell us it's critical. If it was important, it would have been in there. And if you were a good filmmaker, you'd find a way just to incorporate it into the new story it supposedly points to.

I know. I thought they were all there to make friends. It won't happen if they keep acting like that!
Texting a colleague today, my phone kept trying to autocorrect "webinar" to "wiener," and I can't stress how much I don't want that to happen.
It does make more sense now
I have written about LORD OF THE RINGS, STAR WARS, and TOY STORY in the same article, which I believe gives me a level of geekery previously unobtained. Bow before me, my retainer-clad, pocket protector-wearing minions!

Coming this Christmas: Dr. Shrek and Mr. Hyde.

Pour yourself a cup of coffee and read about why I won't be reviewing the new Michael Jackson movie, my (brief) thoughts on great TV, and why I'm going to start asking for some support for my film writing.

Second week of my Rob Reiner retrospective was a first-time watch for me. I hadn't even heard of THE SURE THING before Reiner's death. But I'm glad I made time for this simple but charming rom-com with John Cusack and Daphne Zuniga.

Wasn't quite out of things to say about THE LAST TEMPTATION OF CHRIST, so @perrylovesfilm.bsky.social and I talked it out for WE'RE WATCHING HERE. Listen below or subscribe via Apple Podcasts or Spotify.

Headline on Hollywood Reporter that reads ”Paddington 4, Escape From New York' Reboot in the Works”
I misread the headline as one movie and got very excited for a moment…
Of course he's a doctor. He's holding the flashlight he thought would cure covid if you shined it up your ass.
JD Vance visited the pope, who died.
He went to negotiate peace in Iran. He failed.
He stumped for Orban, who lost.
He wrote a book out about becoming Catholic; now, his boss attacked the pope and posted pics of himself as Jesus.
It's ALMOST enough to make you feel bad for him.
Almost.
Trump, daily.
All Trump has to do is take it down and they'll say "I appreciate his repentance; I know God has forgiven him."
And in six months it will be, "Well, it wasn't really a picture of him as Jesus anyway," and then in a year, "Are we really sure it isn't the second coming?"
