Threaded code Threaded code is an extraordinarily simple and elegant way to implement language interpreters. Compared to bytecoded interpreters it is quite fast, and compilers for it are essentially trivial.

If you're interested in #Forth implementations, you might enjoy reading this.

It's a hobby project, but one that I am very passionate about. Work gets done on it sporadically but in intense bursts.

The idea of this feed is to talk about recent updates.

muforth: a simple ITC Forth muforth is a simple and fast indirect-threaded Forth that is written in C, self-bootstrapping, and BSD-licensed. It is designed to be used as a cross-compiler for microcontrollers but is truly general...

For anyone (everyone?) unfamiliar with it, muforth is a project to build a #Forth target compiler for #microcontrollers.

Varying degrees of support for #avr (especially #atmega168 and #atmega328), #arm #cortex-m (esp #STM32), #pic18, 8051, and, of course, #risc-v.
