Getting a support ticket from somebody who thinks we need to be better at screen readers...

Yes, we'll have a call tomorrow and the entire teams invited to listen to you explain it. Help us make your experience better πŸ’š

No disrespect to animated pieces of cheese though. That seems mighty fine

What is this even... If I'd see a website with clogs and an animated piece of cheese saying "This is an official website of the Dutch goverment" I'd think somebody did April fools a bit early πŸ˜‚

Great content πŸ’š
Love to read some actual opinions on this that aren't polarising on either end. It matches up very well with my own observations about the good parts, and the parts that aren't for me.

Two bleets? (Whatever bluesky calls posts). One saying 11 speakers for cssday are confirmed by PPK and Manuel saying he'll be speaking in the Netherlands at a conference

Hmm... this seems mighty suspicious πŸ˜‹

Oops. Seems I've expanded the front-end team with 150% where 50% was accounted for... But when the selection is this good you just gotta take them all I guess πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

It’s been a very hard year - Andy Bell Unlike a lot of places in tech, my company, Set Studio/Piccalilli has no outside funding. Bootstrapped is what the LinkedIn people say, I think. It’s been a hard year this year. A very hard year...

A bit of a vulnerable post by me but we need your help to get us through what has been a more difficult period than 2020.

It would be really appreciated if you could read and share in your networks too πŸ’›

Current status:
23 out of 40 dope new CSS features on the wishlist added to the new refactor (baseline widely available). I'm so happy to finally get the chance and time to go all out it.
Please hurry up with anchor positioning, and maybe i get to include it 🀞

Most of the CSS/HTML people i followed over there have moved here. Do occasionally see some JS people here but I think its more personal posting than discussions.

This is literally all I like about it, but could easily implement with some SASS and :root variables

The tokens make sense, utility classes do too. But apply just feels like an afterthought for people who should write CSS to begin with...

Why Vivaldi browser won’t follow the current AI trend? Web browsers are integrating the current AI trend with Large Language Model (LLM) functionality. But there are fundamental issues with it. We address them.

Vivaldi doesn't see it as a good thing for a browser to have.

Ok.... after 45 minutes of using @polypane.app, I've found four pretty dumb layout bugs. Made some very nice fluid typography changes and get to see the core web vitals impact inline per viewport.

And I didn't even get to the stuff I was trying it out for 🀯

Wow, @cssday.nl was even better than I expected. Incredible talks, lovely people. Excellent organisation. It was so fun to meet all of you and hang out. Can't wait for next year πŸ’š

Now for some less good news: there will likely be a nationwide train strike on Friday - though it is expected international trains will run. For trips within the country there will be no alternative on offer. #cssday

Finally attending @cssday.bsky.social this year. The lineup is looking extremely nice. Can't wait to meet like-minded CSS enthusiasts and learn a lot of cool new stuff.
