We are looking at a beautiful spring morning with a host of golden daffodils grouped together looking like they’re talking to each other. Behind is a large timber framed building which is also basking in the spring sunshine.
Weekend greetings!
May your Saturday be as golden as the daffodils in our garden. 💛
It's Museum Development South East and Museum Development London Conference day!
We're enjoying listening to all the interesting work and projects happening around the regions and catching up with colleagues from other museums and the MD teams.
Plus, the biscuits are top-notch. 😋

We are looking at a black and white photo of a woman standing on the steps of an old building. The woman is wearing a long jacket and skirt with a large hat and a fur stole around her neck.
We are looking at a stained glass window of a woman with golden hair and a red robe.
Happy #InternationalWomensDay!

Here below is a shorter than it should be thread of these very cool women:
This evening, Rhian joined Emma's Scout Troop and helped them to make their own printing blocks. In a couple of weeks, the Scouts will be visiting the Museum to have a go at printing their designs on the press.
I'm absolutely thrilled that we've been awarded the HAM Environmental Sustainability Award for our Royston Museum Goes Green project.
We have lots of exciting plans for year 2 of the project coming soon. ☺️
A lot of new information for my learning and engagement brain, but so important to support my team in caring for our collections.
This is really sad to see. I took multiple classes here on school trips as a teacher, as well as my own little ones more recently.

Have you ever heard of Woodbury Storer How? He was a dentist who pioneered a plier which is still used in orthodontics!
Curator Sophie is also one of the only orthodontic curators in the country! She's recently published an article all about How and his piler. Read her work here: buff.ly/3ETsHMe

Welcome! 👋🏻
I'm going to quote that to my kids if they choose to marry!
(We also had green jelly 😋)
I think the only time I've shared them was my wedding because APPARENTLY I wasn't allowed to stand at the buffet and eat them all 🙄
Not something you hear said about me often! 😂
