Aug1st update: I finished it with a small sage green fluffy yarn border stitched around the edge, and gave it to my neighborfriend for her bday today. She said she loved it, and already decided exactly where she wants to put it in her new place (she got her keys today!) Yay! I'm gonna miss her. 💔

I wanted to work on a few small patterns before I jump into my next big piece, and I had enough of this fabric for both the pigeon and this design to fit. Next I will go back to either "Night Walked Down" by The Blue Flower, or maybe one of my Kathy Barrick WIPs. Haven't decided yet!

New start! This is the pyramid-shaped pincushion from Stacy Nash's "Rosehill Farm" sampler, on the same piece of fabric as the pigeon, 32ct "Mocha" by Bestitchme. I'll finish it flat for the wall rather than 3D pincushion. Floss from stash, and changed the reds to pinks. #crossstitch

I come from SoCal, land of perfectly manicured green lawns, in the midst of drought-prone habitat. I LOVE to see literally anything instead of lawns. An old neighbor had a great cactus garden that was really fun to look at. Native plants are best, but literally anything other than a lawn is ok too.

What have I been up to these past few days? Oh, Idk, kitting up a new #crossstitch, and enjoying my skell license #xenobladechroniclesx, and crying about the SAVEact and the Kennedy autism registry BS. Just girly things! 👯‍♀️

I suppose the challenge and the end result do make the headaches a small sacrifice lol. It's gonna look so cool when it's done!
